Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh chosen as Head of Mongolian Soldiers’ Association
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The first meeting of the Mongolian Soldiers’ Association NGO took place on April 4. The organization aims to develop patriotism in the future generations of Mongolia, protect the country’s independence, security and values and develop partnership between public and civil society organizations.
To unite their voices and strengthen their status, there are currently 27 non-governmental organizations in the police, border control and army force of Mongolia. 950 members of the new association attended the meeting, electing the head of the association and approving the regulations on its structure and operations.
Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh was elected as the Head with 100 percent of the votes in his favor. Regular Congress of the association is to be held every 6 years, with irregular sessions to be organized at the decision of the association’s head.
