Mongolia-Russia youth expedition to be conducted

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Deputy Speaker of the State Great Khural and Head
of the Mongolia-Russia parliamentary group L.Enkh-Amgalan on April 22, met with
a delegation led by N.S.Petrov, a member of the organizing committee of ‘The
flame of pride for the victory’ youth expedition. They discussed the joint celebration
of the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Battle of Khalkha River.
The Deputy Speaker expressed the parliament’s full support while noting preparations
are underway to stage an exhibition and make films and books in the scope of the
celebration and that Khalkhgol soum is being redeveloped with funding from the
Rosneft Company of Russia.
The Russian side informed that various activities are planned to
be carried out within the celebration. According to Mr. N.S.Petrov, a Mongolia-Russia
youth expedition will be conducted in the route – Selenge – Darkhan-Uul –
Orkhon – Ulaanbaatar – Khentii – Dornod- Khalkha River, veterans and students will
plant trees at the National Garden Park, and an academic conference will be
organized.
