CMJ elected council member of Belt and Road News Network

/MONTSAME/ The Confederation of Mongolian Journalists (CMJ) was elected as the
council member of the Belt and Road News Network.
Belt
and Road News Network established to enhance the engagement of media in the
successful implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative proposed by Chinese
President Xi Jinping in 2013. Currently a total of 82 countries have joined the
network. At the Belt and Road News Network forum held on April 23 in Beijing
representatives from 25 countries were elected the council members.
The
network held its First Council Meeting during the forum. At the meeting,
President of the CMJ M.Mandakhbayar proposed to host the Mongolia-China-Russia
media forum in 2020 in Ulaanbaatar in order to promote the establishment of the
Economic Corridor. The Belt and Road News Network council delightedly accepted
his proposal.
International
media outlets and organizations including CMJ, ‘Xinhua’ news agency,
‘Rossiyskaya Gazeta’ newspaper, ‘La Provence’ daily newspaper, ‘Kazinform’ news
agency and Uzbekistan National News Agency became the council members.
