National artists to present special project at NordArt

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian artists will present a special project titled ‘Existing in the world: Encountering sublimity’ at the 21st NordArt International Exhibition of Visual Arts. This year marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Germany and five years of cooperation with NordArt exhibition.

A total of 23 national artists will be presenting some 53 of their works at the country pavillion. NordArt gave a major stage to our artist in 2015 and 2016. A unique joint exhibition of selected works including paintings, sculptures, calligraphy, installations, video art and space installation will be presented under the theme ‘Existing in the world: Encountering sublimity’. Cultural Envoy, cultural arts manager O.Oyuntuya and art expert J.Bodibaatar will be working together with the curators of the exhibition.

This year, NordArt will again be presenting new highlights from China. In addition to Liu Ruowang’s spectacular apes and Xu Bing’s phoenixes, Noah‘s Garden by Deng Guoyuan and Babylonian by Xi Jianjun will be presented as well.
