Education Minister meets German AmbassadorSociety
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports Yo.Baatarbileg received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Mongolia Stefan Duppel on June 24.
Highlighting that the German Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology (GMIT) is the result of partnership between the two countries, the two sides underlined the necessity to develop GMIT as a model of training, research and operations in Mongolian higher education sector and train Mongolian professors at German universities, factories and companies.
They also discussed partnership in learning from the experience of Germany in developing polytechnic and college to train engineers and technical specialists that are in high demand in Mongolia.
As this year marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Federal Republic of Germany, they also discussed about works being done to fortify partnership, such as organizing ‘Cultural Days’ events in both countries as well as a joint concert and film festival.
