/MONTSAME/ During his working visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Minister
of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry Ch.Ulaan worked in the Vietnamese city
of Can Tho. The city’s economy is based on agricultural products and it not
only satisfies the local demand for rice and seafood but exports them to Japan,
USA, and Central Asian countries.
Vietnamese officials
led by Chairman of the People's Committee of the city Dao Anh Dung paid a call
on Minister Ch.Ulaan, talking about increasing trade of agricultural products.
The Mongolian delegation then worked at the Labio-Pham factory that makes bio-active farming and agricultural products, specifically, the biorat environmentally friendly, international standard bio-active product against rodents harmful to crops that was created based on studies of many years and is highly appreciated among Asian, African and South American countries.
As it is one
of the bio-active products that are registered to be used in Mongolia, the sides exchanged
views on building a similar factory in Mongolia, introducing advanced
technologies, and carrying out joint scientific research in the field of
agriculture.
Moreover, a
memorandum of understanding was established between the Plant Protection
Research Institute of the Mongolian University of Life Sciences and the
abovementioned factory.
