MUST partners with MIT’s Abdul Latif Jameel World Education Lab

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Within the framework of his working visit to the USA, Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports Yo.Baatarbileg met with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) delegates to exchange views on policy and initiatives carried out by the Government of Mongolia in the field of education. 


A Memorandum of Understanding on open learning between the Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST) and the MIT J-WEL – The Abdul Latif Jameel World Education Lab was established. The document is aimed at organizing training on new technology, online and blended learning approaches for the university teachers. The MoU was signed by Minister Yo.Baatarbileg and Executive Director of the Abdul Latif Jameel World Education Lab Associate Dean of Digital Learning Dr. M.S.Vijay Kumar. 


The Mongolian Ministry of Education reports that the MoU enables future collaboration for bringing Mongolian engineering universities’ course curriculum to world standard, involving them in MIT J-WEL education events, blended learning and digital teaching courses and workshops as well as free access to the MIT J-WEL online learning database


The MUST becomes the seventeenth university to build partnership with the MIT J-WEL.
