Once-in-decade nationwide population and housing census kicks off

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. 2020 National population and housing census began today morning as census taking officers started gathering data in households across the country.
Census is composed of mixed census of register-based and traditional method of data collection by visiting randomly-chosen households and asking questions. The latter census will run until January 15 involving 500 census takers and 128 examiners in only in Ulaanbaatar city.
This morning, the census began from visiting senior citizen B.Shagdar, who lives in Sukhbaatar district, Ulaanbaatar city with his elder daughter and grandchildren. 103-year-old B.Shagdar said he took part in the nationwide population census for 11 times throughout his life.
