3.5 magnitude earthquake recorded in Bulgan aimag

Bulgan/MONTSAME/. At 09.44 am of January 12, a 3.5 magnitude earthquake occurred in the area named ‘Naran’ of 4th bagh of Mogod soum, Bulgan aimag. Herding families in Zuun Hajuu, Bayangol and Naran, 7-16kms away from Mogod soum center, felt tremor and no damages and loss were recorded.
In January, 1967, the soum was
hit by an 8.0 magnitude earthquake that caused to have 20km long surface rupture
between Tulee Mountain and Khulij river.
