FRC Chairman meets WB representatives

/MONTSAME/ Chairman of Financial Regulatory Committee (FRC) D.Bayarsaikhan met
with Ulle Lohmus, World Bank’s Strengthening Fiscal and Financial Stability project
team leader and Stuart Yikona, WB Senior Financial Sector Specialist.
At the
meeting, FRC officials in charge of matters concerning money laundering and
terrorist financing gave information on the actions being taken by the
regulatory committee to improve the anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist
financing system of Mongolia. Also, the two sides exchanged views on possibilities of expanding technical cooperation to implement the recommendations of the Financial Action Task Force and get out of the organization's Watch list and
agreed to partner on the actions to be taken by FRC in the short
term.
