“The Mongols and the Mongolian Outer World” int’l conference to be held in Ankara

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. An international conference under the theme “The Mongols and the Mongolian Outer World” will take place in Ankara, Turkey on May 4 and 5, 2020.
With support from the Ankara Haci Bayram Veli University and the Embassy of Mongolia in the Republic of Turkey, Mongolian Ministry of Education, Culture, Sciences and Sports and Mongolian Academy of Sciences, the event is the fourth European seminar hosted by the International Association for Mongol Studies (IAMS) in 2020.
The conference will focus on Mongolian history, culture, language, literature, issues of religion and the Mongolian outer world and its current issues, as reported by the IAMS.
The IAMS has been organizing Asian and European regional seminars regularly since 2017. The European seminars are held in spring in various European countries, such as at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Saint-Petersburg in 2017, Warsaw University in Poland in 2018, and Eotvos Lorand University in Budapest in 2019.
The Asian seminars are organized every fall, including the Minzu University in Beijing, China in 2017, Showa Women's University in Tokyo, Japan in 2018, and National Museum of Korea in Seoul, South Korea.
