Mongolia’s Consul General in San Francisco takes office

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. B.Urgamaltsetseg, who was appointed as the Consul General to San Francisco, California was presented the Consular Patent by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs B.Battsetseg, on February 3, and officially took office.


The consular district of the Consular General of Mongolia in San Francisco covers 17 states of the U.S. including Arizona, Idaho, Washington, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, California, Kansas, Colorado, Montana, Nevada, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oregon, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah. The Consulate General in San Francisco was established in 2012.


Consul General B.Urgamaltsetseg pledged that she, along with her staff at the Consulate General during her term in office, would focus on further cooperation development in the fields of trade, investment, education, culture and interpersonal relations.


She had served as the Deputy Minister of Education, Culture and Science and Adviser to the Prime Minister of Mongolia.
