Enhancing use of Mongolia-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Mongolia-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement entered into force on June 7, 2016. Thanks to the agreement, Mongolian entities are enabled to export some 9300 types of products to the Japanese market with preferential customs import duty.


The amount of bilateral trade turnover, types of export products and investment volume have been increasing since the agreement coming into effect. Although the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs planned to hold meetings and consultations with purposes of enhancing use of the bilateral agreement and increasing national export, it was decided to receive recommendations and requests from entities via online to prevent from possible risk of the novel coronavirus infection.


Entities can send recommendations, requests and information on the encountering barriers related to implementation of the bilateral agreement through an email address foreignrelations@mongolchamber.mn


The Chamber reports that it plans to tackle some common issues reflected in  the recommendations and requests sent by the entities through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
