No vehicular movement to the Shiliin Bogd Mountain

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Yesterday, the Cabinet gave its nod to the Presidential decree on measures to prevent from the Covid-19 outbreak and not celebrating the Tsagaan Sar National Holiday.
In connection with the suspension of the traditional nationwide celebrations, a temporary ban placed on vehicular movement to the Shiliin Bogd Mountain located in Dariganga soum, Sukhbaatar aimag. The restriction covers movement of all types of vehicles, including inter-city public transport and unofficial taxis.
The Shiliin Bogd, one of the sacred mountains in Mongolia, is an extinct volcano and a popular destination on the first day of the Tsagaan Sar. Every year, hundreds of people make a journey to the Shiliin Bogd to catch the first sunrise of the Lunar New Year.
