Camel gives birth to twins in Gobi-Altai aimag

Gobi-Altai /MONTSAME/. A female camel gave birth to twins, a male and a female, in a place called Bulangiin uvuljuu in Sharga soum, Gobi-Altai aimag on March 11.
The owner of the camel is Tumennast Choijil, who started herding at a young age, says it is a very rare case that camel gives birth to twins. Herders in Mongolia also believe that camel giving birth to twins is a sign of good times ahead.
The latest nationwide livestock census had 472.4 thousand heads of camel counted in Mongolia as of December 2019.
