Congratulatory messages exchanged for diplomatic anniversary between Mongolian and ROK

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On March 26, E.Sarantogos, Director of Department of the Asia and the Pacific of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs met with Ambassador of the Republic of Korea (ROK) to Mongolia Lee Yeo-hong on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Republic of Korea, which is being commemorated today.
Ms. Sarantogos presented to Ambassador Lee Yeo-hong congratulatory notes from Kh.Battulga, President of Mongolia to Moon Jae-in, President of the Republic of Korea, from G.Zandanshatar, Speaker of the Mongolian Parliament to Moon Hee-sang, Speaker of the National Assembly of the ROK and from U.Khurelsukh, Prime Minister of Mongolia to Chung Sye-kyun, Prime Minister of the ROK and from D.Tsogtbaatar Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia to his South Korean counterpart Kang Kyung-wha.
The Ambassador also handed over congratulatory messages sent from heads of state of the Republic of Korea.
The last thirty years have witnessed an extensive growth of relationships between the two nations, with the level of Comprehensive Partnership achieved, and the relations between the two countries have developed at a remarkable pace, covering a wide array of fields, such as politics, trade, investment, economy, culture education, tourism and humanitarian areas.
The Republic of Korea, as a close third neighbor and important trade and investment partner of Mongolia, has become a country where the most number of Mongolians currently reside in.
The governments of the two countries have announced 2020 as a ‘Year of Friendship between Mongolia and the Republic of Korea’ with plans to celebrate the diplomatic anniversary.
Mongolia and the Republic of Korea established diplomatic ties on March 26, 1990.
