Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On April 11, the State Emergency Commission (SEC) convened to make some decisions on timely matters concerning the COVID-19 pandemic. As of the today, the total number of coronavirus cases reached 17, and four of them were already recovered and released from hospital.

The SEC decided to launch a nationwide campaign ‘Let’s wear a face mask’ until May 31, urging the public to wear masks and remind each another to wear one. Shops and service centers are encouraged to refuse providing service to customers without face masks.

The commission also decided to indefinitely postpone the next charter flight to Seoul, South Korea planned on April 17 due to limited spacing of isolation facilities. However, the SEC is working to arrange the charter flight to Seoul within this month.

Guidelines and warnings to prevent COVID-19 spread will be broadcast a few times a day through loudspeakers and public address systems on streets.

The number of public patrols and inspectors will be raised to provide control and enforce implementations of measures to tackle the spread of the coronavirus.

Last week, head of the SEC, Deputy Prime Minister U.Enkhtuvshin reported that a total of 18648 people from 303 types of public service organizations are being mobilized for COVID-29 response countrywide, including 13745 healthcare officers, 920 police officers, 530 emergency officers, 1950 inspection officers and 1200 public service officers of other types.
