Mongolia sees 6 more COVID-19 cases, total at 185

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. D.Nyamkhuu, Director of Center for Communicable Diseases announced today at the daily COVID-19 press briefing that the total confirmed COVID-19 cases in Mongolia grew to 185 after six more people were tested positive for the virus, yesterday, May 31.  


The six patients, all Mongolian military students arrived from Russia on May 13, were staying under 21-day mandatory isolation, and diagnosed with the virus on the 18th day of their isolation. Mr. Nyamkhuu stressed that the extension of mandatory isolation period to 21-day from initial 14-day has been effective in identifying more COVID-19 patients while under isolation. 


Out of 185 confirmed cases that are all imported from abroad, 44 people have recovered and 141 people are under treatment.
