Jade food bowl of VI Zaya Gegeen’s mentor

Arkhangai /MONTSAME/. One of the most valuable artifacts being kept at the Local Studies Museum of Arkhangai aimag is this particular jade food bowl from the 19th century to 20th century. Six dragons are skillfully carved around the bowl despite being hollow. The bowl weighs 765 grams.

 

A Buddhist monk named Damchaa who served as a mentor for VI Zaya Gegeen Jambatseren used to use the bowl. The artifact was acquired from a citizen named D.Tegshbuyant from Ulziit soum in 1996.
