Ministers of Energy and Defense meet Czech Ambassador
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Energy N.Tavinbekh met
with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to
Mongolia Jiri Brodsky.
At the beginning of the meeting, Ambassador Jiri Brodsky
handed over a congratulatory letter from Czech Deputy Prime Minister Karel
Havlicek to the Energy Minister.
Minister N.Tavinbekh expressed his pleasure with further
cooperation proposals from the Czech side, while noting that Mongolia has had
many years of fruitful cooperation with Czechia, and underlined that a legal
framework has been created for cooperating in renewable energy. He also
emphasized joint projects between the two countries have made remarkable contributions
to the country’s economy, especially the energy sector.
The Czech side proposed working with Ulaanbaatar
Electricity Distribution Network state-owned JSC to establisht a joint venture for manufacturing euro-standard smart meters in Mongolia.
Minister of Defense G.Saikhanbayar received Ambassador Jiri
Brodsky on September 1 to discuss relations between the two countries.
Highlighting that bilateral industrial relations have been
deepening over the past years, Minister G.Saikhanbayar expressed his hope that the relations will
further expand in every social sector.
The Czech Ambassador
congratulated the Defense Minister on his appointment and presented a
congratulatory letter from Czech Defense Minister Lubomir Metnar.
