Trade and economic cooperation with U.S. to be strengthened
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Deputy Prime Minister Ya.Sodbaatar
met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States to Mongolia Michael S. Klecheski.
Over 25 thousand Mongolians are currently living in USA.
Due to the global pandemic, around 2,000 citizens have made their requests to return
home and the State Emergency Commission has been bringing back Mongolian
nationals from the U.S.
Deputy PM Ya.Sodbaatar stressed that it is important for the countries to join their efforts in the fight against the pandemic and asked
the Ambassador to place emphasis on health and safety of Mongolians in the U.S.
The sides also exchanged views on further expansion of
bilateral relations and the Third Neighbor Trade Act.
The U.S. side expressed its readiness to support Mongolia's
democracy, sovereignty, and inclusive private-sector driver
economic growth more than ever before during the Covid-19 pandemic.
