Project underway to restore Tsagaan Buurug Lake

Arkhangai /MONTSAME/ The Мinistry of Environment and Tourism is implementing the Buurugiin Tsagaan Nuur lake restoration project in Khan-Undur bag of Arkhangai aimag’s Erdenemandal soum. Arig Shan LLC is creating a 910m channel from Buurug River to the lake, with 670m of it dug up so far.


The restoration of the lake, which covers 32.5 ha of area with volume of 500 thousand cubic meter will not only reduce pasture degradation while improving community water access, but also help ensure ecosystem stability in the region.
