Bayan-Ulgii Governor meets ADB Country Director

Country Director for Mongolia Pavit Ramachandran is working in Bayan-Ulgii
aimag. Governor of Bayan-Ulgii aimag A.Gilimkhan met with the Country Director
and officials accompanying him on September 23.
They exchanged views on accelerating the ADB-funded
construction of a 18.82 km road bypassing Ulgii city, 200 m reinforced concrete
bridge over Khovd River, and a 25 km paved road between Tsagaannuur and
Ulaanbaishint and implementing projects and programs in health care, education,
and agriculture.
The aimag Governor asked support in equipping the
100-bed central hospital and 50-bed children’s hospital under construction in the aimag capital and building an animal raw material processing plant.
ADB Country Director Pavit Ramachandran undertook to study the proposals put by the aimag authorities if they can be coordinated with ongoing ADB projects and programs.
