Tsagaannuur-Ulaanbaishint road to be paved in 2022

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At its regular meeting on October 7, the Cabinet approved the coordinates of the field from which common minerals can be exploited for the construction of 25.8 km paved road between Tsagaannuur and Ulaanbaishint. 

 

As part of the project to construct 189.7 km Khovd-Ulgii-Ulaanbaishint roads with a loan from the Asian Development Bank, 163.9 km Khovd-Ulgii road was put into service in 2019. The construction of the remaining 25.8 km road between Tsagaannuur and Ulaanbaishint is currently underway to be completed in 2022.  

 

As a result of the project, Bulgan border crossing with China and Ulaanbaishint border crossing with Russia will be connected by 746 km paved roads.
