Six new COVID-19 cases recorded

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Six new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded after 1030 tests were carried out at six laboratories nationwide on November 12.


Specifically, a doctor and a hospital employee, who were being quarantined at the National Center for Communicable Disease (NCCD) tested positive for the coronavirus.


There are 125 people, who had close contacts with first cases of cluster or community transmission in Ulaanbaatar city and out of them, five people were diagnosed positive, while 474 tests carried on out of 2600 people, who had indirect contacts tested negative for the coronavirus. As a result, the number of confirmed infected persons, who had close contacts with the first cases reached six.


Surveillance works are underway. Three citizens of Selenge aimag tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday, November 12. A professional operative team of the NCCD was sent to the aimag to work on the spot, Head of Surveillance Department of the NCCD A.Ambaselmaa informed during today’s press briefing of the Ministry of Health.


As of today, 412 confirmed cases of COVID-19 recorded in Mongolia. 317 of them have made recovery. 90 people are receiving treatment at the NCCD and 2 of them are in critical, 12 are in serious and 76 are in mild health condition.


Currently, a total of 175 people are under medical supervision, surveillance and treatment at the NCCD.
