PARIS21 Executive Committee meets virtually

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Executive Committee Meeting of the Partnership in Statistics for Development in the 21st Century (PARIS21) was virtually held on December 8th, 2020.
The Partnership in Statistics for Development in the 21st Century (PARIS21) was jointly established in November 1999 by the United Nations, the European Commission, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, the International Monetary Fund, and the World Bank, in response to the UN Economic and Social Council resolution on the goals of the UN Conference on Development.
Its main objectives are focused on the following areas, such as strengthening statistical systems, developing innovative solutions for statistics, advocating and funding for statistics building and sharing knowledge and etc.
The meeting of the Executive Committee of PARIS21, in charge of providing accountability and guidance to the ongoing work of the Secretariat, was virtually held on December 8th, 2020.
PARIS21 Chair, Her Excellency Ariunzaya Ayush, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Mongolia chaired the Meeting and representatives from NSO Mongolia, Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Mongolia and international organizations, such as UN Statistics Division, Global Affairs Canada, EUROSTAT, IMF, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, World Bank and others, have participated in the meeting.
Furthermore, PARIS21’s results framework, its communications and unique ‘value story’, experiences and issues in regards of diversifying the funding base through the PARIS21 Foundation have been discussed in the meeting.
