Mongolia-China political consultation meeting held

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. In line with the cooperation plan between the Foreign Ministries of Mongolia and China, the ministries’ political departments held a consultative meeting on December 24 via teleconferencing.
The meeting was co-headed by T.Battsetseg, Director of the Neighboring Countries' Department of Mongolia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Xue Jian, Deputy Director-General of Department Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China
At the consultative meeting, the sides reviewed the development of the bilateral relations between Mongolia and China in 2020 and exchanged views and agreed on major events to organize and priorities for relations for the coming year.
Despite the difficult circumstances posed by COVID-19 pandemic, two countries have been maintaining productive cooperation by keeping the frequency of active trends in the bilateral relations, organizing high level visits and core dialogues, reviving the economic partnership within a short period of time and preventing and limiting the COVID-19 outbreaks together, noted the participants at the meeting.
Two countries also agreed to bring forward the large scale development projects and advance economic and trade cooperation through ongoing ‘Green Channel’ border regulation while keeping the frequency of high level visits and political talks in 2021.
