30,443 people in Ulaanbaatar get first dose of COVID-19 vaccine

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. At today’s press briefing of the Ministry of
Health, O. Dashpagma, Director of the Vaccination Department of the National
Center for Communicable Diseases, provided the latest update on the COVID-19
vaccine rollout in Mongolia.
She said that since February 23, when the COVID-19 vaccination drive kicked off in Mongolia, a total of 30,443 people have received the first dose
of vaccine as of yesterday, March 9, for which 48 immunization teams have worked at 35
locations in nine districts of Ulaanbaatar.
Among them, 47.1 percent were healthcare personnel, 16.6
percent were personnel of emergency management, specialized inspection and
border protection while 11.3 percent were staff members of organizations and
entities. There had not been any serious side effects or complications after
the injection.
Today, 94 immunization teams are working
at 46 locations in the capital city.
