Cabinet reviews Darkhan Leather and Hide Complex construction process

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. At its regular meeting dated March 10, the cabinet heard presentation on the development of the Darkhan Leather and Hide Complex. Its infrastructure is now around 30 percent complete.
Once put into operation in 2024, annual production output of the Darkhan Leather and Hide Complex with a total of 14 factories and 2,500 jobs is expected to reach 10 million leather and hides, 10,000 tons of wool, as well as cashmere and gelatin. At full capacity, its annual sales are likely to reach USD 148 million.
Also at the meeting, a presentation was made on warehouses to be built with a soft loan from the Republic of Poland. Fully and semi-automated 7 warehouses with 8,500 tons of storage capacity for vegetable products are planned to be built in Selenge, Khovd, Khentii, Umnugobi and Gobi-Altai aimags. There are more than 10,000 warehouses and stockrooms with total capacity of about 220,000 tons registered nationwide.
