148 new cases of COVID-19 reported

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The daily COVID-19 press briefing by the Ministry of Health for March 20 reported that in the past 24 hours 15,293 people were tested at the laboratories nationwide and 148 new coronavirus cases were confirmed. 


In specific, 143 cases were detected in Ulaanbaatar and five cases were reported in Khuvsgul aimag. 137 of them were direct contacts of the previously confirmed cases. Infection sources of 11 cases are under investigation.  No new imported cases of COVID-19 have been reported today.


The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Mongolia now has reached 4,806, with 3,351 recoveries. 


Today, 1359 patients are receiving treatment at the National Center for Communicable Diseases, Central Military Hospital, Second Clinic for Maternal and Child Health, and hospitals in Zavkhan and Tuv aimags.
