Mongolian judokas finish Grand Slam with two gold and one bronze medals

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. IM G.Altanbagana won the bronze medal in the men’s 90 kg weight class on the last day of the Tbilisi Grand Slam that took place in Tbilisi, Georgia on March 26-28.

 

With this, the national judo team finished the Grand Slam tournament with two gold and two bronze medals as well as a 7th place, ranking 3rd in the team rankings.



More specifically, State Honored Athlete M.Urantsetseg and IM Ts.Tsogtbaatar grabbed the gold medal in the women’s 48 kg and men’s 73 kg weight classes respectively, while IM G.Kherlen and IM G.Altanbagana won the bronze medal in the men’s 66 kg and 90 kg. In the men’s 60 kg weight class, E.Ariunbold finished his tournament run in 7th place.

 

The Georgian judo team led the tournament’s team rankings with two gold, three silver, four bronze, two 5th place, and one 7th place, while the Canadian judo team ranked in 2nd with two gold, one silver, and one bronze medals.
