Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Within the framework of the “Nogoonbaatar” Art Festival, the brigades of the “Switch Off Air Pollution” project have started to insulate the house in the “Nogoon Nuur” park and will jointly organize trainings on reducing air pollution, easy insulation of private houses and awareness of the importance of insulation.

“Nogoonbaatar” International Eco-Arts Festival will be held from March 5 to April 26, 2021 with an aim to change public attitudes through art, making their lifestyles more environmentally friendly, and raising awareness about environmental issues, especially air pollution.

The festival is co-sponsored by the European Union's Institute of Culture, the EU Delegation to Mongolia, the Embassy of the Czech Republic, the Alliance Française in Ulaanbaatar and the German Cultural Center in Mongolia. It is co-organized by the Goethe-Institute, the Arts Council of Mongolia, the University of Culture and Arts, the Red Corner and 976 Art Gallery team.

The “Switch Off Air Pollution” project is being implemented between 2018-2021 and aims to contribute to reducing air pollution by insulating detached houses in ger areas and reducing heat loss. Co-financed by the Switch Asia programme under the European Union, with additional support from Abbe Pierre Foundation, Czech Development Agency and the French Development Agency; the Switch Off Air Pollution project is being implemented by Geres Mongolia, in collaboration with Building Energy Efficiency Center of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology,  Mongolian National Construction Association and People in Need INGO during the 2018-2021 period.
