Mongolian Ambassador receives Secretary General of the International Transport Forum

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Ambassador H.E. Mr Battur Avirmid received Mr. Kim Yong Tae, Secretary General of the International Transport Forum (ITF), special body of the OECD, and exchanged views on future relations and co-operation on 06th of April. During the meeting, the Ambassador expressed Mongolia’s interest in taking full advantage of the co-operation opportunities offered by the ITF and asked to consider the possibility of organizing short-term internships for Mongolian road transport specialists at the ITF to develop further their capacity.


The ITF is an international forum for road transport and its policy development as well as negotiations and consensus on issues of road transport in member countries. It was established in 2006 aggregating 62-member countries. Secretary General Kim Yong Tae stated that “Among the Central Asian countries, Turkmenistan has expressed interest in joining the ITF”.
