Charter flight brings 156 Mongolian nationals home

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. A charter flight en route Tokyo-Ulaanbaatar landed at Buyant-Ukhaa international airport in Ulaanbaatar city yesterday, April 13 at 10:56 p.m.
The returnees have been placed under a 7-day mandatory isolation at ‘Kempinski’, ‘Tuushin’, ‘Novotel’, ‘Zuchi’ and ‘Temuujin’ hotels.
A regulation is in effect to
not put the citizens, who have been vaccinated with both first and second doses
of the COVID-19 vaccine, under isolation, reports the Operative Staff of the
State Emergency Commission.
Since the closure of the country’s border due to the outbreak of the pandemic last year, a total of 32 thousand Mongolian citizens have been repatriated from 93 foreign countries, around 25,000 citizens by 143 charter flights and some 6,700 citizens through auto road border points.
