At a distance of 18 km northeast of Bat-Ulzii soum, Uvurkhangai aimag - on the way from Ulaan Tsutgalan - Orkhon Waterfall to Khujirt, there is a cliff named Uurtiin Tokhoi.

Instead of its current name, the location was initially called as ‘Khuurtiin Tokhoi’ (the Cliff of Corpses). The reason for this was due to what happened when the Oirad Khan Galdanboshigt was on his journey to Tuvkhun Monastery to arrest Undur Gegeen Zanabazar. While he made his journey to the monastery, the Orkhon River had sudden flooding, to which he lost a lot of his soldiers. The river stream eventually brought the bodies of the soldiers to Uurtiin Tokhoi, which is why it came to be named as Khuurtiin Tokhoi or the Cliff of Corpses according to the legend. As the location showed to be dangerous for the lives of people as well as livestock time and time again, locals began to refer to the location as Uurtiin Tokhoi instead, to put it in a positive light.

Raised 1,630 meters above sea level, the site has a natural spring that is believed to have a positive effect on internal health problems.
