Over 1.5 million people vaccinated nationwide

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. In Mongolia, 38,599 people got vaccinated in the past 24 hours, making the total people who was vaccinated with the first dose to 1,590,636 and both doses to 622,740.
Of the total
vaccinated people, 894,785 are the residents of Ulaanbaatar, of whom 476
thousand have been vaccinated with both doses.
As for the residents
of the rural regions, 695,851 people have been vaccinated, of whom 146,444 have
been vaccinated with both doses.
Mongolia launched its
vaccination rollout in February, 2021. The country plans to inoculate its 2.6
million people aged over 18. As of today, 99 percent of 56 thousand healthcare
workers have been vaccinated with first dose and 71 percent of them have been
vaccinated with second dose. Moreover, 35 percent of 558 thousand 50-plus year
old group have gotten their first shots of the vaccine while 7.2 percent have
received their second shots.
