585 new cases of COVID-19 reported

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. It was reported during today's press briefing of the Ministry of Health that 585 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Mongolia in the past 24 hours.
478 of the newly confirmed cases were reported in Ulaanbaatar city while 106 were detected in rural areas. Moreover, a citizen who arrived from India on April 26 tested positive for the virus.
As a result, the total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Mongolia have reached 47,033. In the past 24 hours, 1548 people have been discharged from hospital, making the number of recoveries 37,281.
It was also reported that nine people died from COVID-19,
raising the country’s death toll to 193.
As of today, 4,525 people are undergoing treatment of whom 116 are in very critical health condition.
