COVID-19: 553 new cases, five deaths reported

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ 553 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded nationwide in the past 24 hours. Specifically, 516 of the new cases were detected in Ulaanbaatar city and 37 in rural areas.
In the country, 48,101 COVID-19 cases have so far been recorded. In the past 24 hours, 1,234 people were discharged from hospital and isolation, bringing the total number of recoveries to 39,564. 4,327 people are currently receiving hospital treatment for COVID-19.
3,701 people with mild cases of COVID-19 are being isolated at home and around 10 thousand close contacts are in home quarantine.
The Ministry of Health also reported that five people died from COVID-19, taking the COVID-19 death toll to 205.
