Ambassador to Russia meets Federation Council Committee Deputy Chair

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Russian Federation D.Davaa had a meeting with Alexander Bogdanovich Karlin, Deputy Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building, on May 28.

 

At the meeting, Ambassador D.Davaa mentioned his willingness to intensify bilateral trade, especially trade between border regions, by establishing close business ties with Russian Federal subjects bordering or close to Mongolia and their senators and deputies in the upper and lower houses of the Federal Assembly and made proposals.

 

Representative of the executive authority of the Altai Territory Mr. Alexander Karlin said it is feasible to provide support in making advancements in seed production and supply, intensive animal farming, and leather and hide processing through national and regional cooperation and to enable Mongolian students to study on government scholarships at agricultural, medical, and technical universities in Altai Krai. 

 

The Russian senator who worked as the governor of Altai Krai for 13 years prior to his current post accompanied then head of the Russian government Mikhail Fradkov on his visit to Mongolia in 2006 on the occasion of the 800th anniversary of the Mongolia Empire and later made another visit to Mongolia in 2018.
