COVID-19: 1792 new cases, 9 deaths reported

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. It was reported during today's
press briefing of the Ministry of Health that 1792 new cases of COVID-19
confirmed in Mongolia after 11720 tests performed in the past 24 hours.
1280 of the newly confirmed cases were reported in Ulaanbaatar
city while 511 were detected in rural areas. Moreover, a citizen who
arrived from Afghanistan on June 4 tested positive for the virus.
As a result, the total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Mongolia
have reached 73869. In the past 24 hours, 196 people have been discharged from
hospital, making the number of recoveries 56499.
It was also reported that nine people died from COVID-19,
raising the country’s death toll to 351.
