Bio-based product to be introduced in capital city district to reduce soil pollution

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. 150 households in the capital city’s Sukhbaatar district will be provided with bio-based products manufactured by ‘Bioarius’, a startup founded by scholars and researchers at the Institute of Biology of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences.
During a meeting held with representatives of MPs elected from the district, Head of the Ulaanbaatar City Department of Science, Industry and Innovation L.Tulgabaatar introduced the product and the sides agreed on the decision.
There is a particular area in the district that is often affected by floods in spring due to snow melting. As the waters carry the pollutants in its nearby surroundings, citizens in the local neighborhood are posed with a serious threat to their safe and healthy living environment.
The bio-based product is expected to reduce soil pollution, and disinfect pathogenic bacteria alongside rehabilitating soil degradation.
