Webinar on green entrepreneurship and decent jobs for youth in Mongolia takes place

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Under the initiative of the Permanent Mission of Mongolia to the United Nations Office in Geneva, the Government of Mongolia and the International Labour Organization organized this webinar in collaboration with the UN Global Initiative on Decent Jobs for Youth and the Young Entrepreneurs Council of Mongolia on 25 June 2021.


The webinar brought together over 70 participants from various stakeholders, who engaged in the discussion on effective policy interventions with the aim of supporting youth-led enterprise in the green economy.


Speaking at the webinar, H.E. Mr. Purevsuren Lundeg, Ambassador, Permanent representative of Mongolia to the United Nations Office in Geneva highlighted importance of green economy and digitalization in achieving sustainable development goals. The esteemed group of presenters composed of expert and consultant from the International Labour Organization, the Institute for Sustainable Future of the University of Technology Sydney have shared views on lessons and opportunities to promote youth employment and green entrepreneurship.


The webinar followed by simultaneous breakout sessions on three main themes: the green economy development, formalization of youth employment and digital skills for youth. This event was a milestone to further enhance cooperation between the Government of Mongolia and the UN Global Initiative on Decent Jobs for Youth.
