COVID-19: 2,376 new cases, 14 deaths reported

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. It was reported during today’s press briefing of the Ministry of Health that 2,376 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in the past 24 hours.

 

1,494 of the new cases were recorded in Ulaanbaatar city and 877 in rural areas.


120,339 COVID-19 cases have so far been recorded in the country. In the past 24 hours, 2140 people were recovered.  

The Ministry of Health also reported that 14 people died from COVID-19, which brings the COVID-19 death toll to 592. 

 

Since the vaccination rollout launched in Mongolia in February, 2,038,128 people have been vaccinated with the first dose of vaccine and 1,750,266 people or 53.8 percent of the population with the second dose. 

 

As of today, over 56 thousand children aged between 12 and 15 got their first shot of the vaccine.
