Earthquake occurs in Selenge aimag

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. 5.2 magnitude earthquake occurred in the place 49 km south of Yuruu soum of Selenge aimag.


The Institute of Meteorology and Geophysics confirmed that the earthquake struck the aimag at 09:12 AM today, July 22. The residents of the aimag and Ulaanbaatar city felt strong tremors.


According to the study of 2019, the earthquake occurrences in Mongolia increased by 15 times compared with 2005.
