Psychologists to attend specialization course

/MONTSAME/. The selection of psychologists who will work in 30 general
education schools involved in the ‘Education for Sustainable Development II’
project were conducted on July 5-21.
The working group
established by the order of the Minister of Education and Science, developed
short and medium- term plans, studying the legal environment for placing
psychologist in the secondary schools and comparing with experiences of other countries. According to the plan, 30 schools involved in the “Education for
Sustainable Development II” have been selected and another 45 schools to be added later.
A 45-day course directed on specialization of psychologists selected in working with children has begun on July 26.
According to the joint study conducted by the Ministry of Education and Science and the UNICEF in 2020:

67,8 percent of students feel lonely
·
59 percent of students
feel frustrated
·
42.4 percent are anxious
· 56.2 percent of the students feel poor adaptability skills.
Aforementioned issues are
negatively affecting to the adolescents' attitudes, beliefs, self-esteem and
academic achievement. Therefore, assistance and services are crucial for teenagers.
