E-Mongolia Academy to be established

At its regular meeting on August 18, the Cabinet resolved to establish
E-Mongolia Academy under the Communication and Information
Technology Authority (CITA).
This decision was
made as there is a necessity to have a structure which will be in charge of
studying and conducting trials on the development of artificial intelligence
and innovation as well as organizing training on improving the knowledge of
digital use and skills of digital literacy of public servants and citizens.
During the press
briefing on the decisions of the Cabinet meeting, chairwoman of the
CITA B. Bolor-Erdene said, “E-Mongolia
unified digital service system now has had 1.9 million users. Teams of the platform
are working in suburbs and rural regions to provide training for elderly people
and citizens who do not know well how to use their smartphones. As a result,
the use of this platform is being increased.
