COVID-19: 2,467 cases, six deaths reported

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. It was reported during today’s press briefing of the Ministry of Health that 2,467 new coronavirus cases were detected in the past 24 hours after tests were carried out at PCR laboratories across the country. 


In specific, 773 new cases were confirmed in Ulaanbaatar city with 1,691 cases in rural regions and three imported cases.


As a result, the nationwide infection tally is now 201,746. In the last 24 hours, 1,465 coronavirus patients were recovered and discharged from hospital.


The Ministry also reported six new COVID-19 related deaths, raising the country's death toll to 919. 


As of today, August 26, a total of 2,072,994 people have received the second dose of vaccines against COVID-19, equal to 63.7 percent of the total population of Mongolia.
