Support requested to implement comprehensive child development programme
SocietyUlaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. On January 11, Minister of Education and Science L. Enkh-Amgalan received UNICEF Representative in Mongolia Evariste Kouassi-Komlan. In November, 2021 Mr. Evariste Kouassi-Komlan was appointed as UNICEF Representative in Mongolia.
"UNICEF reviews its country programmes conducted in 2017-2021. It is pleased to exchange views on cooperation in the field of education at a time that the UNICEF is planning its country programme to be carried out for the next 5 years," said Mr. Enkh-Amgalan.
The Minister asked the UNICEF Representative to work
together on three important issues; a support to implement a comprehensive
development programme for children under three years of age, cooperation on the
GIGA project to solve the problem of electricity and internet connection in
preschools and schools, which is a pressing issue for e-transition in the
education sector, as well as cooperation on the equal access to education for
children with disabilities and children of national minorities.
