Deputy Foreign Minister meets UN Resident Coordinator

Minister of Foreign Affairs B.Munkhjin held a meeting with Resident Coordinator
of the United Nations in Mongolia Tapan Mishra on February 23.
The sides discussed at length the
development of the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework
2023-2027 for Mongolia, action plans and coordination of UN Specialized
Agencies, and international events scheduled to take place in Ulaanbaatar.
Noting that the UN Development
Assistance Framework has been of important assistance in achieving objectives
through multilateral cooperation, Deputy Minister B.Munkhjin undertook to have
close cooperation to reach global and national development goals.
The UN Resident Coordinator thanked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for its leading role in ensuring cross-sector cooperation in multilateral efforts and gave detailed information on plans and priority areas for cooperation for the next 5 years.
The sides agreed to finalize
the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework 2023-2027 for Mongolia
within April and submit it to the Cabinet.
