Delegation of Ministry of Culture visits Mongolian studies center and MUPA Budapest in Hungary

delegation led by Deputy Minister of Culture M.Batbayar visited the Eötvös
Loránd University of Hungary during their working visit to the country last
week. They got acquainted with the activities of the Mongolian studies center
at the university’s Mongolian and Asian studies department and met with President
of the International Association for Mongol Studies Agnes Birtalan and other
Mongolists and students majoring in Mongolian studies.
Deputy Culture Minister
M.Batbayar presented the Mongolian government’s measures, policies and plans on
the promotion of Mongolian studies. Expressing his pleasure that leading
Mongolists are working at the center, the Deputy Minister said the two sides
could jointly study and promote intangible cultural heritage, train researchers
and specialists, exchange experiences, implement an exchange program for
students interested in the countries’ culture, and support partnerships between
museums and handed over recent books on Chinggis Khaan and Mongolian studies.
The representatives of the
Ministry of Culture also visited the MUPA Budapest cultural and arts palace and
met with its CEO Csaba Kael, who showed the delegation around the palace and
provided advice on the new Mongolian Grand Theatre of National Art construction
project. They agreed to establish cooperation between cultural and arts centers
of the two countries to exchange artists.
